Last week, Kaity went to stay with my parents for about a week, making Joe the big kid in the house. Not a day went by that I wasn't informed that he missed Kaity, and that life was boring without her. We got her back on Sunday afternoon, and this is what Joe drew during church Sunday evening:
Despite the loneliness, Joe did enjoy being the big brother a little more than he gets to experience when General Kaity is around. At one point, though, we were sitting at the dinner table when Selah stood in her highchair. Jeff firmly told her to sit down, and praised her when she did. Joe remarked, "How come you're so easy with Selah?"
Jeff replied, "Because she's a year old."
Joe: "Maybe you could treat her worse so I won't be jealous."
It's tough being the middle child.
