Strawberry Fields Forever

We went on a field trip (literally!) Thursday to a strawberry field, as well as to see a beekeeper. Both were fascinating! I don't have bee pictures yet (forgot my camera in the car!) but I did take some of the strawberry patch.






The kids loved it! Yesterday, I made strawberry freezer jam with the strawberries we picked. We froze some, too, because I'm planning on making strawberry soup as a special treat for Katie. Her ballet recital is next weekend and we'll have a little reception afterward. (Any excuse to cook!)
